There are Major Changes Coming to the Wheaton, Maryland Area

Montgomery County officials have big hopes and dreams for the town of Wheaton, Maryland.  General contractor Clark Construction started construction on a multi-purpose facility located in the heart of Wheaton earlier this year.  Plans for the project include a new government building that will be occupied by Montgomery County government employees. In addition, there are plans to build a town square that will host public events and recreational activities. Finally, the last phase of the project includes building a mixture of low and high rise apartments and luxury townhomes adjacent to the town square.

County officials envision an active community that serves both the local residents and a wider regional market. Consequently, some residents believe that once the project is finished that the town of Wheaton will have a whole new look and feel that reflects a community that’s both vibrant and full of life.
