Brown Station Elementary School
Construction of the new Brown Station Elementary School three-story, replacement facility began almost two years ago. The new building contains classrooms for students attending pre-k, head start, kindergarten and grades 1-5. Brown Station will now have a state of the art music room, multi-purpose room, gymnasium, media center, administrative suite, health suite, offices and associated support spaces. The school will now also feature two new softball fields, an overlaid soccer field, four new hard and mulch play areas. Brown Stations exterior is separated by a student drop-off area and bus loops, parking and associated site work. The new location is scheduled to open just in time for the 2017-2018 school year.
Scope of the Project
General Contractor Keller Brothers asked our team of professional Spray Foam Insulation experts to use a combination of Spray foam and an air barrier throughout the entire project. Foam was than used to spray into openings and cavities of the schools existing building envelope The foam substance has an adhesive that readily sticks to areas whereever it’s applied. Brown Station Elementary School building was constructed with a very good building envelope design. As a result this creates a wall, roof, and floor systems that’s both durable and long lasting. The air barrier itself is used to understand the critical importance of what flows through the schools structure, such as heat, air infiltration, moisture, and sound.
